Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell to Perform at Seminole Casino Hotel @ Seminole Casino Hotel
Jan 13 @ 8:00 pm
Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell to Perform at Seminole Casino Hotel @ Seminole Casino Hotel | Immokalee | Florida | United States

Dick Fox’s Golden Boys – Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell – to Perform at Seminole Casino Hotel

Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell – also known as Dick Fox’s Golden Boys – will be live in concert at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee on Saturday, January 13  at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale now for $70 and are available at the casino or by calling 800-218-0007. Attendees must be 21 years of age.

Fabian, Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell were united by Producer Dick Fox. These “Golden Boys” were three of the most popular teen idols of the late 1950s and 1960 and have proved to be an overwhelming live concert success. Countless television appearances, a special performance for the President of the United States and a Golden Boys PBS special have brought a vast audience of fans from all generations.

The Golden Boys concert spotlights each of the performers and their all-time greatest hits: “Turn Me Loose,” “Tiger” and “I’m A Man” (Fabian); “Venus,” “De De Dinah” and “Bobby Sox to Stockings” (Avalon); and “Volare,” “Wild One” and “Kissin’ Time” (Rydell). The three stars combine their talents on several songs and perform a tribute to the material of Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson and Bill Hailey.

Avalon, a baby boomer icon, inspires a lot of reminiscing about everything from “Venus” to “Bobby Sox to Stockings” when he takes the stage. He made the transition from teen-age idol to mature professional and now has a career that spans three generations of music, television and motion pictures. As a youth, he started out as a musician trumpet player. He seized every opportunity to enter local amateur contests and won a string of them. His first single “De De Dinah” became a smash hit, and his recording of “Venus” was one of the biggest selling hits of the era.

Fabian Forte was discovered at the young age of 14 sitting on his front steps in Philadelphia. He went on to have a career featuring dozens of hit singles, eight albums and gold records for “Turn Me Loose” and “Tiger,” and a gold album for “The Fabulous Fabian.” In addition to his busy schedule touring with the Golden Boys, Fabian makes frequent appearances in television and feature film productions and for the past three years he has hosted “Fabian’s Celebrity Golf Tournament,” which has successfully raised money for veterans’ causes.

Rydell made his debut in the late 1950s as a rock-and-roll teen idol starring in movies such as “Bye Bye Birdie” and plays such as “West Side Story.” He also was a semi-regular on the Red Skelton Show and American Bandstand. His recording career earned him 34 Top 40 records, which puts him in the top five of all single artists from his era. Rydell’s hits include the million selling singles “Volare,” “Wild One,” “We Got Love,” and “Forget Him.”

Mary Wilson and The Shirelles in concert at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee  @ Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee | Immokalee | Florida | United States

Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment & IT$ NOT OBER YET Productions present music icons Mary Wilson and The Shirelles in concert at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are available now for $59 and can be purchased online at www.jaytv.com, at the casino or by phone at 800-514-ETIX(3849).

Mary Wilson, along with Diana Ross and Florence Ballard, founded one of the most successful female singing groups in recording history – The Supremes. Since then, Wilson has written a best-selling autobiography, performed on stage and screen, lectured and toured the world, and continues to be looked up to as a singer who set the standard for females in the recording industry.

The Supremes found legendary success when Motown founder Berry Gordy put them in touch with his top writing and producing team, Holland-Dozier-Holland. With an unprecedented 12 number-one hits, including five in a row – “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” “Stop, In The Name Of Love” and “Back in My Arms Again” – The Supremes set the precedent for super group success. Wilson worked hard to keep the dream alive even after Ballard and Ross left the group. Wilson, Jean Terrell and Cindy Birdsong performed as The New Supremes and racked up three top 10 hits: “Up The Ladder To The Roof,” “Stoned Love” and “River Deep, Mountain High” (with the Four Tops). To this day Wilson continues to tour under the moniker of Mary Wilson of The Original Supremes, and has performed for celebrities and politicians all over the world.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Shirelles were one of the earliest and among the very best girl groups with more than 20 “Billboard Top 100 Hits” including the timeless classic Billboard #1 Hits “Soldier Boy” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”. Often credited with launching the girl-group genre, their enduring string of hits began with “I Met Him on a Sunday” and their historic 1958 debut at New York’s legendary Apollo Theatre, which launched them into music history. The Shirelles’ series of hits includes  “Dedicated To The One I Love” (Billboard #3), “Foolish Little Girl” (Billboard #4), “Mama Said” (Billboard #4), “Baby It’s You” (Billboard #8), “Everybody Loves a Lover” (Billboard #19), “Big John” (Billboard #21), “Tonight’s The Night” (Billboard #39) and many more.

The Shirelles continue to thrill audiences worldwide with their high-energy show, An Evening With the Shirelles, that includes their many hits interspersed with a wide variety of selections from pop, rock, and soul, to standards, gospel, and country, mixed with spirited dancing and comedy, all done in the inimitable style that millions of worldwide fans have come to expect of the legendary Shirelles.

Concert attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Country Music Legend Tanya Tucker @ Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee | Immokalee | Florida | United States

Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment & IT$ NOT OBER YET Productions present An Evening with country music legend Tanya Tucker at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale now for $67.50 and are available at the casino, on jaytv.com or by calling 800-218-0007. Attendees must be 21 years of age.

A defining voice of country music, Tucker inspired many female artists who still top the charts today. From the signature classic songs to the unforgettable sass and soul of her voice, Tucker has paved a path in country music and beyond through an unprecedented level of success and continues her longevity today due to a natural, undeniable talent. Her style has proved to be timeless ever since she recorded her debut single “Delta Dawn,” at age 13. The single earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” and launched Tucker into the national spotlight.

In 1972, she earned the “Top New Female Vocalist” award by the Academy of Country Music. With a wildly growing career at such a young age, the Tucker craze continued with her first number one single in 1973, “What’s Your Mama’s Name.” As additional hits continued, Tucker added an edgy rock image, which she still embraces, to her musical taste with the album T.N.T, which was released in 1978. The gold certified album peaked at number two on the album charts. Through a collaborative relationship with Glen Campbell, Tucker transitioned to a new label in the early 1980s and was back in the Top 10 with “Can I See You Tonight.” Just a few years later, Tucker experienced another hit with “One Love at a Time.” With four additional number one charted hits between 1986-1988, Tucker’s career was proving to be one for the record books.

The 1990s gave rise to some of Tucker’s most recognizable and career defining songs, “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” and “It’s a Little Too Late.” New albums, along with multiple versions of greatest hits and live compilation projects, propelled Tucker to become one of the best-selling female artists in country music.

In February 2017, Tucker performed at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for a packed house and was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine. She belted out Randy Travis’s “I Told You So,” paying tribute to her dear friend. She is currently out on her 2017 North American tour, including shows in Canada.

The Platters and The Coasters to Perform at Seminole Casino @ Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee
Mar 10 @ 8:00 pm
The Platters and The Coasters to Perform at Seminole Casino @ Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee | Immokalee | Florida | United States

Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment & IT$ NOT OBER YET Productions present legendary musical groups The Platters and The Coasters in concert. The Platters and The Coasters will perform their iconic music at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee on Saturday, March 10 at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are available now for $59 and can be purchased online at www.jaytv.com, at the casino or by phone at 800-514-ETIX(3849).

In 1955, The Platters (Herb Reed, David Lynch, Paul Robi, Zola Taylor and Tony Williams) crashed through the racial divide in the music industry become the first African-American vocal group to reach international super stardom. The group’s debut single, “Only You (and You Alone),” launched the vocal group on the world stage. The romantic ballad became an instant hit with the public and would eventually reach number five on the Pop charts.

The Platters’ follow-up single, “The Great Pretender,” propelled the group to the number one position on the pop charts, providing the launch pad for their meteoric rise as crossover artists. Both tracks have since been declared “songs of the 21st century” by the Grammy Music Hall of Fame.

The Platters timeless hits also include “Only You,” “Magic Touch,” “My Prayer Heaven on Earth” “I’m Sorry,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” “Harbor Lights” Red Sails in the Sunset,” “I’ll Never Smile Again,” “You’ll Never Know” and “Twilight Time.”

In keeping with the founder’s wishes, The Platters continue to evolve and entertain music fans of all ages worldwide. With a solid foundation of multiple hit songs under their belts, thanks to the founding members, The Platters today are Wayne Miller, Adele Galinda “DD”, Grey Martin, Lance Bernard Bryant and Kenny Williams – all seasoned, veteran performers of film, stage and music from Broadway to Hollywood – and continue to captivate audiences under the baton of musical director Michael Larson.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of Cornell Gunter’s Coasters out of the ashes of the surprising breakup of the original Coaster group several months earlier. Over the years, Cornell Gunter’s Coasters have continually built up a new market for their approach to 1950s music.

Gunter believed that The Coasters and all of the musical groups from that era could be reborn and thrive as live performing groups. Ultimately, he led the way to what was soon to become known as “Classic Rock”. All that was needed was to take the original music and present it in a way that gave each group a modern theatrical approach to their presentation. More importantly, he developed an approach to 1950s music that lent itself to constant innovation.

In the years since Gunter passed away, the group members who had been with him for many decades, and the original management team who had been the creative force behind the group, carry on by incorporating his genius into the show. It is under the tutelage and guidance of this multi-decade relationship that the group continues to entertain today.

The Coasters’ enduring hits include “Charlie Brown,” “Along Came Jones,” “Poison Ivy,” “Love Potion #9,” “Love Potion #10,” “Little Egypt,” “Young Blood,” “Yakety Yak,” “Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart,” “Searchin’,” “Shoppin’ For Clothes” and “Smokey Joe’s Café.”

Concert attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
