Warm TodayFlorida’s southwest coast will be warm today, but a few showers will work their way in. After some early fog in spots (especially inland), the day features good sun, a few clouds, and passing showers, especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 80s.


Friday will begin with sun and some clouds. But then the front we’ve been watching moves in during the late afternoon and evening, bringing clouds, showers, and some storms. Friday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

It will be cloudy and rainy to start on Saturday, and then we’ll see clearing skies and cooler weather. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 70s, but then temperatures will drop during the afternoon.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, but it will be chilly. Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 60s.

Our taste of winter continues on Monday, with lots of sun and a few clouds. Highs on Monday will be near 70 degrees.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
